Apple Delight Cocktail

I love this cocktail as a way to kick off a fun night. Fruity, a hint of honey balanced with the tart of the lime juice….what a delight!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 ounce Cointreau
  • 1 ounce vodka
  • 2 ounces apple juice
  • juice of 1/2 a lime
  • 1/2 teaspoon runny honey
  • whole star anise for garnish

INSTRUCTIONS

Combine all ingredients except the star anise in a shaker filled with ice. With the lid securely on, vigorously shake for at least 20 seconds. Strain into a martini glass and garnish with the star anise. Yum.

COOK'S TIPS

If your limes are very large, you may want to use the juice from a quarter of the lime. Feel free to adjust to your own taste as well.
