Ham and cheese, a classic flavor combination that most start eating from a young age. The only difference is that as you get older, the ham and the cheese usually become better quality! Here is a Basque version using the ham and cheese from the region. If you can’t get your hands on those particular ingredients, well….any other ham and cheese will probably do!
Slice the baguette on the diagonal into 1/2-inch thick pieces. Slather each slice with some salsa brava and top with a half slice of ham and a slice of cheese. Place an olive on top of each to finish and insert a toothpick to hold everything in place.
