Italian Antipasti Board Recipe

The elements of any given charcuterie board depend on the tastes (and cravings) of its creator. For this particular board I was in the mood for Italian. I put this board together for four people and I thought it was just enough to satisfy as a pre-dinner hors d’oeuvre to enjoy with a glass of red wine, Italian of course!

INGREDIENTS

  • 8 thin slices good quality chorizo
  • 8 thin slices good quality bresaola
  • 8 thin slices good quality jambon iberico
  • parmesan cheese, broken into bite-size chunks
  • 1 tablespoon runny honey
  • good quality black and green olives, preferably marinated in olive oil
  • smoked almonds
  • parmesan breadsticks, homemade or store bought

INSTRUCTIONS

Arrange all the gathered ingredients on your serving board or platter. Feel free to have fun and add whatever else you might have on hand or other great antipasti ingredients you can find near you.

p.s. You dip the parmesan chunks in the honey before eating. Something we picked up when traveling in Italy and so worth trying!
